West Bay Speed boat course

Most adults start their speedboat training with the RYA Level 2 qualification. Recognised in many countries around the world this two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence.

It is anticipated that this qualification will soon become mandatory in Qatar for all drivers of any powered craft on the water.

Children from the age of 8 can take our Level 1 Starter course, and from the age of 12 can take the Level 2 Handling course. Children will be taught in suitable boats that aren’t too big or heavy to handle, and the course will be adapted to suit the age and ability of the child. After the course children will able to drive a powerboat under the supervision of an adult.
